Things got strange during a gondola ride up a mountain in Aspen, Colorado, when MSNBC’s Alex Wagner asked Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), GOP 2016 presidential hopeful, about his “bromance” with Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) in a segment that aired on Tuesday.
“Would you call it a ‘bromance’”? Wagner asked Graham at one point.
The South Carolina Senator responded enthusiastically, “Oh yeah, he’s, he’s, he’s, he’s just a…” before being cut off by Wagner who also wondered if McCain used email — something Graham has famously denied ever using.
“Ya know, I don’t know…I’d be surprised if he did,” replied Graham.
The interview took a strange turn as Graham made the following remark about his colleague:
“But at the end of the day, I just admire John. He’d be like the uncle you put in the basement. I’d put him in the basement of the White House and call on him when I needed him.”
More hard hitting questions from MSNBC. I guess we’re lucky they didn’t try to get him to quack like a duck. But I bet the “tweens” that make up their audience think they’re so cool.
