The Washington Examiner reported that Kerry was in Vienna to amend the 1987 Montreal Protocol that would phase out hydrofluorocarbons, or HFCs, from basic household and commercial appliances like air conditioners, refrigerators, and inhalers.
“As we were working together on the challenge of [ISIS] and terrorism,” Kerry said. “It’s hard for some people to grasp it, but what we–you–are doing here right now is of equal importance because it has the ability to literally save life on the planet itself.”
Yeah. First of all, come for my air conditioner down here in the sweltering south and see what happens. Secondly, come for the A/C of any woman going through menopause and you’ll come back to me for more.
This guy is such a moron.
I don’t have an issue with doing stuff to help the environment, but I’m not going to assist in throwing us back to the stone age because some politician thinks he can play god. Isn’t it funny how it is always the “progressives” that tell us progress is taking us back at least 100 years in every aspect of life?
And the last time I checked, I have never heard a story about an air conditioner yelling Allah Akbar before it blew up an sky-scrapper or killed a bunch of people in a nightclub or mall. So pardon me while I keep believing the greatest threat right now is terrorism and not my air conditioner. Thanks.
