Gun-rights group raffles off AR-15, Hillary Clinton portrait

A North Carolina gun-rights organization is taking aim at the Democratic presidential nominee with its latest promotion, the “Hillary Clinton Special.”

Grass Roots North Carolina is giving supporters a chance to win an AR-15, 1,000 rounds of .223 ammunition, and a portrait of Hillary Clinton.

Get the picture?

If not, Grass Roots NC offers a not-so-subtle suggestion on its website:

(Of course, we won’t tell you what to do with the photo, but when we ran a picture of Hillary on the front of our newsletter, we heard it was very popular at the range.)

The organization also says that “we all know that if Hillary Clinton is elected President on November 8, panic buying will ensure that by November 9, there won’t be a gun (or ammunition) available for love nor money…”

If you go to the link, you can get your fill of people being offended and crying about calls for violence toward Hillary.

They have a loose consideration for calls of violence against politicians…

But hey! It’s OK if Democrats “threaten violence!”

Aside from that…

You can almost hear the journalists chuckling after the last quoted line above. Honey, I worked in a gun store right after Obama was elected. What they are claiming is tame. 22 LR was in shortage for years. That first weekend after the 2008 election, the store I worked at went above their average sales per day figures. They averaged about $2000 a day. That Saturday they brought in $65,000. We were almost completely empty – isles and everything – by closing that Sunday. And the store was gigantic. It didn’t matter what it was… pump shotguns and lever rifles sold as fast as AR15s. I had countless people come to me at the counter and say, “I never owned a gun before, I thought if I was going to do it, now is the time, since we may not be able to eventually.”

The media really likes to pretend things like that never happened, even when they covered it.

By the way, thanks for the free plug for a great organization that has done a lot for our rights in this state.

Now, y’all keep your fingers crossed that I win the raffle. 🙂
