An email from Hillary Clinton revealed she shared classified information with her daughter in 2009 and then deleted the email.
One of thousands of documents that the FBI recovered from Clinton’s private email server, the email to Chelsea was released Friday by the State Department.
The series of messages, entitled “Update,” were dated from December 2009 and begin with an email from President Obama’s deputy assistant and deputy national security adviser for international economic affairs, Michael Froman.
The redacted email, which contained classified information, was sent to several of Obama’s aides and Clinton’s foreign policy adviser at the State Department, Jake Sullivan, who then sent it to Clinton. The then-secretary of state forwarded the confidential email to her daughter Chelsea, a private citizen with no security clearance or position in government, under the pseudonym “Diane Reynolds.”
