This Government Program May Soon Be Shipping 86,000 World War 2 Rifles to Homes Across the Nation

The Civilian Marksmanship Program has been informed that the Philippine government may be shipping 86,000 M1 Garand rifles back to the US. These highly collectible rifles, most of which were produced prior to 1957, will be made available to the public through the CMP. Proceeds generated from the sales helping to fund the operation of the organization.

Give us… a date. Seriously, I keep seeing all these stories about M1s coming from overseas from this country or that, and that CMP is going to be able to sell them, and then no one ever discusses it again. Obama blocked one batch, but then I thought it got cleared for them to be sent back here for sale through CMP, then nothing. So until I see a definitive date, I’m calling pure manure.

If they do eventually get here, though, I want one. I have one, but I want a nicer one. 🙂 They can be twins. LOL!
