Americans Want Congress Members To Pee In Cups To Prove THEY Aren’t On Drugs

And I’m in that silly group that thinks welfare recipients and members of the entire government should be getting drug tests.

While Congress pushes for drug tests for food stamp recipients, most Americans like the idea of drug testing members of Congress even better.

YouGov poll found that 78% of U.S. citizens are in favor of requiring random drug testing for members of Congress. A full 62% said they “strongly” favor this, compared with only 51% who feel the same way about food stamp and welfare recipients.

Doesn’t this image look like, “Here. Drink this.” “WTF?! What is that!?”

The support for this move was bipartisan, as 86% percent of Republicans, 77% of Democrats and 75% of independents support the mandatory drug tests for members of Congress.

It would seem that more than Americans are worried about drugs, they are upset with the hypocrisy of U.S. lawmakers, who carry on this charade of a “War on Drugs” while using the very things they pass laws against.

A cargo ship which has been linked to anti-drug Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell was stopped and searched before departing from Colombia recently, with approximately 90 pounds of cocaine found on board by the Coast Guard. But now, Senator McConnell is doubling down on his reputation as an “Anti-Drug Senator” by railing against legalized marijuana.

The Senate Minority Leader said that he is firmly “against legalizing marijuana,” even while this has put him at odds with his Democratic challenger Alison Lundergan Grimes.

McConnell acknowledged that marijuana is “not in the same category as heroin,” even if it is treated as such by the DEA. Still, he said that legalizing the plant could “completely transform your society in a way that I think certainly most Kentuckians would not agree with.”

“I don’t think an answer to this, honestly, is to go in a direction of legalizing any of these currently illegal drugs,” McConnell explained. “This whole movement in various parts of the country is a big mistake.”

Earnest: Congress ‘Scared’ of NRA

In the wake of the journalist slayings in Roanoke, Va., White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said that similar acts of violence could be prevented if Congress would enact “common sense” changes in gun control legislation. “Until we see a sufficient number of people in this country stand up and make clear that this is something that they’re going to insist members of Congress act on, we’re probably not going to see the kind of common-sense changes that we believe should be put in place,” Earnest said.

Source: Earnest: Congress ‘Scared’ of NRA

I can’t link the video here, but click the link to see it.

Is this guy serious?

First of all, the NRA is funded by American citizens, those same gun owners they keep claiming are in full support of more meaningless gun control (regardless of how many times that apparent poll has been torn apart for being completely meaningless because it was read by gun grabbers as if you can just walk into a store and buy a gun with no background checks… and a lot of people out there believe that is true; yes, the majority of gun owners support background checks… like the ones currently in place… not universal background checks, which they were not asked about) that they want to enact instead of enforcing the laws already on the books.

Second, a lot of folks in the NRA are not happy with the NRA… because they aren’t doing enough. I am a life member of the NRA. I rarely get anything from them about what they are doing to secure our rights, current threats, etc. I only hear from them after a victory. And they seem silent on a lot of things gun rights advocates are actually concerned about. Otherwise, all I hear from the NRA is my monthly magazine and why I need to send them more money.

Basically, Congress is actually doing something the people want… they are supporting at least that portion of the Constitution. And they know when they stop, the voters – not the NRA – will have something to say about it on their ballots.

Obama Prepared to Go ‘Beyond What’s Allowed By Law’ to Push Iran Deal Through?

The Hill reported Wednesday that Sherman said Obama appeared ready to ignore Congress if members don’t sign off on the deal. The comments came after the president invited top Democrats to the White House to give them a personal presentation on the Iran deal.

“The main meat of what he said is, ‘If Congress overrides my veto, you do not get a U.S. foreign policy that reflects that vote. What you get is you pass this law and I, as president, will do everything possible to go in the other direction,’” Sherman said, according to The Hill.

“He’s with the deal — he’s not with Congress,” the California congressman added. “At least to the fullest extent allowed by law, and possibly beyond what’s allowed by law.”

Naive Neville Feinstein “Iran Is A Moderate Elected Govt That Wants To Make A Change” – We’ll See What Happens

Senator Dianne Feinstein is asked whether she believes that Democrats will support Hussein Obama in his sweetheart deal to his new Iranian nuclear BFF’s. She responds, “I think the jury’s out. I certainly hope so. I believe it’s our one opportunity. I believe you can’t ignore the fact that you have Russia, China, the United Kingdom, France and Germany all aligned.

Feinstein reissues the threat posed by the Obama regime’s coordinated plan of unconstitutionally circumventing and declaring Congress irrelevant by inserting the United Nations as the replacement higher authority, a reality made possible by the signatures already affixed to the “agreement.”

She said, “It is very likely that Monday, if they go to the United Nations they will get approval to proceed.” It is very likely that regardless of what we do, these nations will drop their sanctions at some point.” Basically, the substance of her comments are that the Obama regime and the complicit Congress have painted the American people and those opposed to nuclear terrorism into a corner where our options are severely limited, and we’re now forced to make the best of the bad situation.

Feinstein follows the model of Neville Chamberlain’s simple-minded British appeasement with Nazi Germany and a commitment to military involvement in any aggression against Poland with recommendations which mirror those he made during the late 1930’s.

She said, “I listened carefully to what [the] Prime Minister of Israel said and I think it’s pretty clear to everybody that America has Israel’s back. We give huge amounts of money, $25 billion dollars, we give security help, help with the iron dome, help with other sophisticated programs, precision weapons, and if Israel were to be attacked, this would be major war on our part.”

So we’ve been placed into a position of potential major war and for what? Why were the supposed negotiations conducted in the first place and why under artificial deadlines? Why did our hijacked government needlessly create the situation we are now in? This is a bad situation that the Obama regime artificially created out of nothing. Why is the “independent” interviewer not asking these basic questions, at least exposing the destabilizing role that the regime has played in putting America into this precarious situation.

There’s a lot of money to be made in selling arms on all sides as this nuclear and conventional arms buildup takes place. What role has the financial incentive played in our current situation?

Beyond the profiteering puppetry, where is dimwitted Dianne in challenging the usurpation of Congress by an artificial, illegitimate world government in the United Nations? They have no sovereignty over the United States yet their “power” is unquestioned by those who subserviently relinquish American sovereignty and self-determination, the wholly-purchased prostitutes of the Capitol Hill brothel, of which she is a highly sought-after employee.

She closes her pathetic performance by saying, “Now here’s the point. The point is that you have a moderate, elected government that wants to make a change. We’ll see if this is enough to induce that change.” Way to thrown the nuclear dice, and hope for the best, Senator.

Susan Rice Admits Secret ‘Side Deals’ with Iran

Pompeo said:

This agreement is the worst of backroom deals. In addition to allowing Iran to keep its nuclear program, missile program, American hostages, and terrorist network, the Obama administration has failed to make public separate side deals that have been struck for the ‘inspection’ of one of the most important nuclear sites—the Parchin military complex. Not only does this violate the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act, it is asking Congress to agree to a deal that it cannot review.

The failure to disclose the content of these side agreements begs the question, ‘What is the Obama administration hiding?’ Even members of Congress who are sympathetic to this deal cannot and must not accept a deal we aren’t even aware of. I urge my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to stand up and demand to see the complete deal.

Cotton added:

In failing to secure the disclosure of these secret side deals, the Obama administration is asking Congress and the American people to trust, but not verify. What we cannot do is trust the terror-sponsoring, anti-American, outlaw regime that governs Iran and that has been deceiving the world on its nuclear weapons work for years. Congress’s evaluation of this deal must be based on hard facts and full information. That we are only now discovering that parts of this dangerous agreement are being kept secret begs the question of what other elements may also be secret and entirely free from public scrutiny.

Rice acknowledged the deals Wednesday and told reporters that their contents would be revealed to lawmakers in classified briefinds, according to The Hill.

Update: Cotton and Pompeo have written a letter to Obama, pointing out that he has failed to comply with the Corker bill and asking him to transmit the two side deals immediately:

Failure to produce these two side agreements leaves Congress blind on critical information regarding Iran’s potential path to being a nuclear power and will have detrimental consequences for the ability of members to assess the JCPOA. We request you transmit these two side agreements to Congress immediately so we may perform our duty to assess the many important questions related to the JCPOA.

VA says it may shut down hospitals to close $2.5B budget gap

The Department of Veterans Affairs may have to shut down some hospitals next month if Congress does not address a $2.5 billion shortfall for the current budget year, VA officials warned Monday.

VA says it may shut down hospitals to close $2.5B budget gap | WATE 6 On Your SideThe VA told Congress that it needs to cover shortfalls caused by an increased demand by veterans for health care, including costly treatments for hepatitis C. The agency also is considering furloughs, hiring freezes and other steps to close a funding gap for the budget year that ends Sept. 30.

The VA said it wants authority to use up to $3 billion from the new Veterans Choice program to close the budget gap, with as much as $500 million going to treat hepatitis C. A single pill for the liver-wasting viral infection can cost up to $1,000.

The Choice program, the centerpiece of a VA overhaul approved last year, makes it easier for veterans to receive federally paid medical care from local doctors. Congress approved $10 billion over three years for the Choice program as it responded to a scandal over long waits for veterans seeking medical care and falsified records to cover up the delays.

Deputy VA Secretary Sloan Gibson told Congress that VA health care sites experienced a 10.5 percent increase in workload for the one-year period since the scandal erupted in April 2014.

The VA needs flexibility from Congress to close the budget gap, Gibson said, adding that action is needed in the next three weeks to avoid drastic consequences.

VA says it may shut down hospitals to close $2.5B budget gap.

So where is that $2.5B being spent? Because it sure isn’t being spent on caring for our Veterans.

Pelosi: After Death of Kate Steinle, Congress Has ‘Moral Responsibility’ on Gun Control

botox-is-a-drugs-96829949741“Last week, in San Francisco, our city suffered our own senseless act of gun violence with the killing of Kathryn Steinle, and our thoughts and prayers are very much with her family. Today, we must do more as a nation to prevent dangerous people from getting easy access to guns. And Congress has a moral responsibility to act. What is so unclear? What do they not understand about that? The memory of these victims, the cries of their families deserve action – results, not words. Today, we will say: we will not accept a status quo defined by the daily tragedy and grief endured by so many communities. We will not accept ‘the unique mayhem that gun violence inflicts upon this nation,’ as the President Obama so eloquently stated in Charleston. The American people deserve a vote to finish the job, starting with comprehensive background checks. We’ve had this conversation over and over again. We’ve always said: to us, in Dan’s spirit, it is inevitable that this legislation will pass. To some here, it may seem inconceivable that they will bring a vote to the floor. With 90 percent of the public supporting gun background checks, we must shorten the distance between the inevitable to us and the inconceivable to them, to finish the job.”

I often find myself wondering if this woman is high, and this is no exception. Is she implying that a man who is in our country illegally and has been deported five times, and then acquired a gun illegally would somehow be effected by more laws? Is there a gun law on the books right now – or one that has come out as verbal diarrhea from the left in the last fifty years – that would have prevented this? Our immigration laws didn’t stop him. The fact that stealing a gun is illegal didn’t stop him.

OH! That’s right! If we can’t own guns, there wouldn’t be a gun for this guy to steal, and then the only crime he would have committed would have been entering our country illegally five times and hiding out in a city that cares more about criminals than it’s actual citizens. We are well aware that because drugs are illegal he can’t get those… even though I suspect Nancy got her hands on some. But she’s above the law, so that’s OK. But it isn’t politically correct to point out that he’s already a five time criminal just by his lack of respect for our laws and the fact that he just doesn’t care that they exist at all.

Did you get all of that? Is it making sense? Are you converting to the left as we speak?
